
Finke Desert Race
In 2004 we sponsored Andrew Mitchell in the Tattersall's Finke Desert Race. He rode a 2003 Honda CR250 modified frame fitted with a CR500 engine. This year we are again sponsoring Andrew with the assistance of Noyes Motorcycle and Power Equipment in Brisbane. Look below for pictures and setup details on the bike.

Andrew Finke's Race History
- 2004 - 3rd in class and 13th outright
- 2003 - 4th in class and 7th outright (rode a Honda CR500)
- 2002 - 3rd in class and 7th outright (rode a Honda CR500)
- 2001 - 3rd in class and 9th outright (rode a Honda CR500)
- 2000 - no class placing 26th outright (rode a Honda CR500)
- 1999 - finished the race, no class or outright placing (rode a Husky TC610)

- Engine - Honda CR500 with modified cylinder, head and gearbox
- Carby - modified Keihin. All engine work by Power flow.
- Exhaust - FMF Gnarly pipe with FMF power core II muffler
- Suspension - 2003 Honda CR250 forks with Reiger racing GP desert kit and Reiger racing GP desert shock
- Handlebars - AFAM high rise fat bars
- Grips - Renthal full waffle medium compound
- Tyres - Michelin desert rear and Dunlop 907E front with bridgestone ultra heavy duty tubes

In 2005 the following modifications will be made to Andrew's bike to prepare for the 30th Anniversary Tattersall's Finke Desert Race:
- Engine:barrel, head and crankshaft modifications being completed by Powerflow
- Suspension:
- Front: Racetech Finke specked forks.
- Rear: Gold valved and Finke specked standard shock
- Steering: Scott's steering damper with Scott's triple and bar clamps
- Fuel tank: a Clark dry break tank has now been fitted
