Ecotourism is ecologically sustainable tourism with a primary focus on experiencing natural areas that foster environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation and conservation. Ecotourism Australia’s national certification program, recognises businesses that demonstrate sustainable tourism best practice and are taking active steps to reduce their carbon footprint and practice sustainable tourism.
We’ve maintained our Eco-Certification annually, since being the first business of our kind to receive it. We’re proud of this and privileged to be able to operate and showcase an amazing part, of our fantastic country. For more information on Ecotourism Australia visit their website.
Cape York Motorcycle Adventures are Eco-Certified and Sustainable Tourism Operators.
Climate Change poses one of the greatest threats to marine and rainforest environments worldwide and presents a global issue requiring global action. Climate change is becoming a major threat to the biodiversity of the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics Rainforest.
Global warming could decrease the habitat of many endemic vertebrate species which live in the rainforests, leaving only isolated pockets of rainforest for them to live in. While higher water temperatures and higher acidity of seawater, impacts the Great Barrier Reef. It effects coral growth and survival, with the effects of Coral Bleaching evident in the Far North sections of the GBR Marine Park.

As well measuring travel emissions, through organisations such as Climate Friendly, who provide emissions calculators and offsets which contribute to the growth of the renewable energy.
We actively fundraise with Containers for Change who aim to encourage Queenslanders to recycle more containers and help build even more pride in the places we live. Containers for Change shows that recycling can make a difference to the environment whilst also creating job opportunities and supporting local communities.
