The best season to book your off-road motorcycle tour in Australia is May to October. This is our dry season in Far North Queensland, and the Cape comes alive. Blue skies, grippy dirt, and just the right amount of wild. These months book out fast, so if you’re travelling from the USA or overseas, we recommend locking in your ride at least 6–12 months in advance to snag your preferred dates.
If you want to visit other areas, the best time to visit Australia would be between March and May, or September and November.

Our tours are capped at 15 riders, and we have a seat in the support vehicle for a non-rider.The group size strikes the perfect balance: intimate enough to forge real connections, big enough to bring your crew along for the ride.
And the fun doesn’t stop when the bikes cool down. Cairns is the perfect base for an all-Aussie Adventure with the Reef and Rainforest at its doorstep, and an international airport, It’s also the ultimate launchpad to explore iconic cities like Sydney and Melbourne.

Major international hubs like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and many others offer simple one-stop connections to Cairns. If you’re flying in from other parts of the US, Canada, or other countries, you might find more options by booking your international flight to Brisbane Airport: Australia’s east coast hub. From there, it’s a quick 2-hour domestic flight to Cairns, with multiple flights running daily.
Direct flights are available from around Australia on any of the three main domestic carriers Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar you’ll also be able to find information on Webjet.

At Cape York Motorcycle Adventures, we provide the dirt bikes and all the required riding gear (helmets, jackets, pants, and boots). Our support vehicle is equipped for man and machine, carrying all the equipment to cater for the group.

We know international travel comes with its share of curveballs.
That’s why we’ve got a fair and flexible cancellation policy. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, and rescheduling up to 12 months is allowed. The final payment is due 30 days before departure. If you cancel after the final payment, there is a sliding scale of refund allowance according to our policy.
A $2,000 security deposit is required to cover any potential damage to the motorcycle you ride, and travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect your trip.
